Community Mourns Passing of Longtime Volunteer Brooks Hanford

It is with deep sadness that the community shares the passing of Brooks Hanford, a dedicated volunteer whose years of service touched countless lives in Bremerton and the surrounding area. Known for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others, Brooks made a lasting impact on every organization and individual he worked with.

Friends and community members will have an opportunity to honor Brooks and his late partner, Barb, during a memorial service this Sunday, Jan. 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. The service will be held at the Eagles Nest at the Kitsap Fairgrounds, located at 1195 Fairgrounds Road NW, Bremerton, WA 98311. The gathering will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and fellow volunteers to share memories, celebrate their lives, and pay respects.

Brooks’ contributions went far beyond his volunteer work. He was known for his willingness to help wherever needed, whether it was organizing community events, supporting local charities, or lending a hand to neighbors in need.
