Kyle Olivie Motorcycle Accident Death:Father and Son Killed in N1 Motorcycle Crash
The Worcester community is reeling after a tragic motorcycle accident on the N1 near Cape Town claimed the lives of a father and son on Monday night. The victims have been identified as Leon Olivier and his 16-year-old son, Kyle.
The collision occurred near Giel Basson Avenue at approximately 20:40. According to police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg, both individuals sustained fatal multiple injuries and were declared deceased at the scene. Parow police have registered a case of culpable homicide, and an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.

Kyle Olivier was a Grade 11 learner at Hoër Tegniese Skool Drostdy in Worcester, where he resided in the Dr Stals hostel. Described by the school as a popular and friendly boy with a great sense of humour, Kyle was also a talented rugby player. He had represented both his school’s under-16 A team and the Boland Grant Khomo team.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the school asked for prayers for the grieving family, noting the profound loss felt by students and staff alike. The tragedy has left a void in the school community, which will deeply miss Kyle’s positive presence and his father, Leon.
