Kenneth Gerisch, Identified As Teen Killed In Motorcycle Crash In South Toms River PD
SOUTH TOMS RIVER, NJ – A local man was tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday evening. Kenneth Gerisch, 25, of Toms River, died after losing control of his motorcycle, police said.
The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. on January 5. According to the South Toms River Police Department, Gerisch was traveling southbound on Herflicker Boulevard, approaching the merger onto Atlantic City Boulevard, when he lost control. His motorcycle fell onto its side.
Due to its forward momentum, the downed motorcycle slid across the centerline into oncoming traffic on Atlantic City Boulevard. There, it first collided with one vehicle. After the initial impact, the motorcycle continued moving and struck a second vehicle traveling behind the first.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Toms River Police Department. Authorities have not released further details regarding potential causes or the conditions of the drivers of the two involved vehicles.
