Reg Johnstone Bashaw, AB Obtituary,Death:Celebration of Life
The chuckwagon community and the town of Bashaw, Alberta, mourn the loss of a true legend. Reg Johnstone, affectionately known as “The Bashaw Flash,” passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday night in Lethbridge.
A retired chuckwagon driver, Reg’s passion for the sport was unmatched. His skill and spirit on the track made him a memorable figure in chuckwagon history, creating a legacy that will gallop on for generations. More than his accomplishments, he will be remembered as a friend, deeply missed by all who knew him.

To honour a life lived with great heart and velocity, a celebration will be held on Saturday, January 24th, at 1 pm at the Bashaw Community Centre. The family warmly invites friends and admirers to join them in sharing stories of Reg’s greatest adventures. Your presence and memories will provide great comfort, helping everyone to heal through shared laughter and perhaps a few tears.
A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you simply bring your fondest recollections of a remarkable man. Rest in peace, Reg. The final horn has sounded, but your run will never be forgotten.
